Abstract

The study of personalities is an important issue in the series of efforts to write history, because it occupies a large space and a wide area in contemporary history and centralism in many countries of the world because these figures in the importance of drawing and making a lot of historical events, and helps to know important aspects in The history of their countries, this fact was the main motive in the study of Amin Gemayel highlighted the beginning of his entry into the political arena after belonging to the Lebanese Phalange Party in 1960, who became a member of his political office, commissioned by his father Pierre Gemayel, was elected deputy for Mount Lebanon province Matn in the In 1970, he became a member of the Politburo and head of the Metn al-Kataibi in 1972 and was appointed head of the Phalangist Emergency Committee during the 100-day war in 1978. He adhered to his principles, ideas and political views differently from his brother Bashir Gemayel, who had different ideas from the rest of the politicians The Lebanese and his death Amin Gemayel took power in September 1982. His policy was made clear by signing the agreement of 17 May 1983 with Israel under the auspices of the United States and his clear position in his call for national reconciliation at the national dialogue conferences in Geneva and Lusan 1983-1984.
