Abstract

The study aimed at identify the motivated strategies for learning among Alhusain Bin Talal University students. And its relation to some variables, students gender, major and level of study. The researchers sued in this study the motivated strategies for learning  scale Ahmed(2005). After making sure of its reliability and validity on a sample of (238) both male and female students from the bachelor’s stage in the university. The results of the study regarding the level of students use of the motivational learning strategies was average on the total degree with its dimensions, the results also showed no significant statistics difference in the motivational learning strategies due to gender except on the third dimension of the study dimensions and its exam anxiety. The male students were less stressful them female students in this dimension, the study showed no affect for the major in the motivational learning strategies except for the first and fourth dimension and in favor of the scientific college. The study also showed no significant statistical difference due to level of study except for the fourth dimension and the test and in favor of the senior students compared to the freshmen and juniors and the study gave a number of recommendations based on its results.
