Abstract

    The use of the numbered heads strategy contributes to the learning process, focus and retention of learning, and since the problem of weakness that students suffer in the subject of Arabic grammar still exists, so the researcher decided to use it as it might contribute to overcoming some students' problems in understanding the Arabic grammar material, and from Here the importance of the current research is evident, to reveal the effect of using the numbered heads strategy on the learning of Arabic grammar among students of the fifth grade applied.

In order to achieve the aim of the research, the researcher intended the General Directorate of Dhi Qar Education / Al-Rifai Education Department / Al-Allama Al-Amini Preparatory School as a field for his research, as the sample size reached (48) students, for the experimental and control groups, and by (23) students for the experimental group and (25) students for the control group. The researcher applied an achievement test on the students of the two research groups at the end of the experiment, and reached the results that demonstrated the superiority of the students of the experimental group that studied the Arabic grammar subject according to the numbered headers strategy over the students of the control group that were taught according to the traditional method in the post achievement test. The difference is statistically significant at the level of significance (0.05).

In light of the results of the research, the researcher recommended the necessity of using the numbered heads strategy effectively in teaching different academic subjects and for the various academic stages. Then he suggested conducting similar studies on female gender and other branches of the Arabic language
