Abstract
The study is aimed at the identification of the role and style of Educational supervision in the act of professional development of the teachers of social science at Hawler City, it is to explore the expected levels of educational supervision style in the act of professional development of the teachers of the social science at basic schools in Hawler city considering the (sex, and years of service), the descriptive approach is implemented depending on the aims of the research. The participants are 100 teachers of the total of 11670teachers, it includes 45 males and 55 females. The analysis depends on the (Siam, 2007) method of analysis, in which it relies on (53) items classified in to (4) fields, they are (Planning, teaching process, classroom management, and evaluation), also, it involves some related literaturereview. The study has face validity because the tool was subjected to 75% of jurors' judgement. The reliability is gained depending on the correlation of the first and second applications to (0.70 to 0, 80), it has been found out that the majority of the teachers are organized personally during the process of teaching, they carefully plan, observe, justify in the teaching process and they manage the academic classroom duty professionally and capably, they prove qualification in the sense of educational supervision and the years of experience. Finally, depending on the conclusions the researchers provide some recommendations and suggestions that are valuablefor the objectives of this research.
