The Progressive Party had a prominent role in the phase of political settlements through its participation in international conferences, whether in Geneva or Lausanne and within the framework of the National Salvation Front in preserving Lebanon’s Arab identity, and the need to embody it in all areas that the party considered to be its interim foundations, despite registering doubts about These conferences as lacking the presence of the true guarantor due to the lack of seriousness of the authority represented by the Kataeb Party, despite the belief of the Progressive Party in the national dialogue, and then its success to some extent in the failure of President Amin Gemayel to gain many of these conferences, and not giving any recognition of his legitimacy, and prolonged Free hand to act.
