The research is based on the concept of biodiversity and the importance of biodiversity in the marsh environment as it represents the largest wetlands ecosystem in the Middle East located within a dry ecological zone and has been subjected to a series of forced-drying processes that have eroded their ecosystems and biodiversity.
The study includes two topics, first of which deals with the concept of biological diversity, the definition of marshes and the importance of biological diversity in the marshes environment, as well as the location and area of the study area before and after drying. The second section included biological diversity before drying both vegetable and animal (fish, birds and ground), Conclusions and recommendations.
