In the early 1980s, Lebanon witnessed a regional conflict between Israel and Syria and Palestinian organizations. On the other hand, this conflict reflected negatively on the political situation in Lebanon and led to a sectarian war between the parties supporting one side or the other. As a result, the United States intervened The path of its envoy, Philip Habib, whose goal was to preserve the sovereignty and stability of Lebanon in a way that would ensure the interests of his country in Lebanon and the Middle East. On that basis he succeeded in stopping that conflict by finding a plan called Habib Plan that saved Beirut from the siege. It has achieved a diplomatic and military victory for the United States of America by strengthening the presence of its troops in Lebanon.
