Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify the social interaction among the students of Sumer University. The sample consisted of (250) male and female students from the third stage of the total society (450) students (56%) of the total society. In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher adopted the Kadhim (2013) scale consisting of (46) paragraphs. The validity of the scale was verified and the statistical analysis package (spss) was adopted to extract the results.

1. The level of social interaction among the students of Sumer University was medium.
2. There are differences in the social interaction among the students of the University of Sumer, depending on gender differences and for females.

The research recommended the following:

1. Paying attention to the social interaction that develops among university students for all levels of study.
2. Include the curriculum in the university, which works to develop and promote social interaction among students.

In light of the current research results, the researcher suggests the following:

1. Conducting a study on social interaction and social anxiety in the other academic stages.
2. Conduct a study to find out the relationship between social interaction and other variables.
