سيمياء العواطف في دعاء مكارم الاخلاق للإمام السجاد عليه السلام
Abstract
The countless impulsiveness behind the different expressive levels of the phenomenal and formal dimension has left a perceived inequity to the right of many factors that can contribute effectively to the formation of the structure of meaning. In this regard, semiotics pursued and wanted to increase the semantic sphere in meaning structure, interested in everything that would be an indication in every Humanitarian magazines, but this attempt would not have left the linguistic streak that covered the dominant critical approaches at the time.
Until the coming up of the nineties decade, we witnessed efforts to reestablish consideration to the current of emotions that had earlier been avoided for fear of presenting what is external to the internal composition of the texts. One of these pioneering efforts was the collaborated work of the French critic Algirdas J. Greimas and the Italian Fontane when they sought to fill this gap with a new approach called “the Semiotics of Emotions or the semiotics of Passions”.
This approach adopted the well-known concepts, mechanisms and principles of the semiotic approach in categorizing and outlining the psychological conditions that the literary text proliferated with represented by the feeling and emotions of the self-manifested in its discourse. The choice was made on the text of the supplication as a pioneering creative text that did not take its rank with adequate attention bearing in mind that emotions and psychological conditions are the first basis that the supplicatory texts have. The choice was made on a text which is one of the oldest supplicatory texts, it is a supplication for the decent morals of Imam Ali bin Al Hussein Al-Sajjad, (peace be upon them all)
So the study entitled, “Semiotics of Emotions in Al-Imam Al-Sajjad’s decent morals supplication (Peace be upon him)” presented a brief introduction to the cognitive and literary concept of the semiotics and narrative semiotics. And the new approach proposed by Greimas -Fontani to move from the study of the semiotics of event or action to the study of the semiotics of self and its emotions.
