Abstract
The current research aims to identify the reasons for the low level of success for students in the sixth scientific and literary in the education of the province of Basra for the academic year (2016-2017) and the number of the respondents (115) as a teacher and a teacher and (60) members of the parents of the students, and the necessary research to adopt a measure (Ahmad and Lewis, 2011) and consists of the scale of the (35) items, were achieved virtual honesty during his presentation on the (5) experts in the jurisdiction of psychological counseling, then found stability in a way retail midterm reached (0,91), the research found that the most important reasons which leads to the low level of success for students in the sixth scientific and literary: according to estimates by teachers are: the large number of students in the school, and lack of purpose behind education, and the impact of political and economic conditions on the psyche of the student, and congestion daily lessons subject-table, and the neglect of the preparation of students and school everyday duties The spread of mobile phone and other means of entertainment, and the lack of weak accounting students by teachers and the spread of private lessons and the low level of student motivation toward learning, the weighted average ranged between (2.9739 - 2.1217) and weight percentile between (99.13 - 70, 72) as the relative valuation of the phrases (very large, large).
The most important reasons that lead to the low level of success for students in the sixth scientific and literary row according to estimates by the parents of students are: political and economic Otraloaudhaa on the psyche of the student, and the spread of mobile phone and other means of entertainment, and the negative impact of the group, peers, and the low level of motivation of students toward learning, poor preparation scientific and educational for teachers and the large number of students in class, and do not activate the reward and punishment, and the spread of private lessons, and few weak students accountable by teachers, and congestion daily lessons agenda materials of study, it has ranged from the weighted average between (2.9167- 2.1167) and weight percentile between (97.22- 70.56) as the relative valuation of the phrases (very large, large ).
