الملخص
The present research aimed to measure mental motivation and its relationship with the five major factors among university students in Basra province. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher used the mental motivation measure for (Hammock 2012), which consists of (67) paragraphs distributed over four areas namely: (mental focus, orientation towards learning) (Innovative Problem Solving, Cognitive Integration) After he extracted his apparent sincerity by presenting it to specialists in psychological counseling and extracting stability by testing and re-testing where the coefficient of stability (0.89), the researcher also used a list of major factors in the personality to measure the five major factors in the personality Nan, which consists of (40) paragraphs distributed over five types of personality: (neuroticism, diastolism, openness, conscience, acceptability), which was used by (Aidani 2011). The researcher conducted a valid validity of the measure presented to specialists in psychological counseling and extraction The stability of the test method and re-testing where the stability coefficient was as follows (the value of the coefficient of stability (0.81) for the neurotic factor, (0.93) for the factor of Abstatism, (0.805) for the conscience, (0.76) for the openness factor and (0.78) for the factor of acceptability). A sample was chosen by stratified random method consisting of (400) male and female university students Rad sample using statistical bag to extract Altaia test for one sample and Altaia test for two independent samples, and the coefficient of correlation Pearson The results showed that university students have a high level of mental motivation where he reached the arithmetic mean (158.221) and standard deviation (24.121) versus center-premise (135), As for the five major factors of personality, the results showed the prevalence of the diastolic factor with an arithmetic mean (28.837) and a standard deviation (4.366) versus the hypothetical mean (24). The neighborhood, except for the neurotic character factor, was a negative relationship between him and mental motivation
