Abstract

Architecture is one of the most important manifestations of civilization in Mesopotamia, as left us the old Iraqi architecture buildings in various forms and in the function and in building materials. And the foundations of buildings  being  the most important structural elements on which the building is based and depends on stability and strength on the strength and rigidity of these foundations, So we see the interest of the ancient Iraqis in this element Architecture, However, this element has not been studied in detail, and has not been review to the special features and the general and associated, and most of the previous studies were focused on the presentation of the foundations and construction material without review any other details.
